Star Wars Birthday Party Tips & Ideas for The Coolest Star Wars-themed Bash!

Boys Birthday Party Supplies

Star Wars birthday party theme has always been a popular choice for birthday celebrations amongst fans of different generations.

"Kids" of all ages from 7 to 57 find the world once created by Star Wars writer and director George Lucas to be an infinitely amazing place where they can let their imagination and fantasies fly to the galaxy far, far away.

A Star Wars theme party is a fantastic gift in itself, so if your special birthday boy or girl is a fan, this will be the "can't miss" theme to plan a perfect birthday party around.

STAR WARS PARTY COSTUMES:

An important element of a Star Wars theme party is the costumes. Ask your guests to come to the party wearing their favorite Star Wars character costume. This will create an instant Start Wars inspired ambiance and will be a fantastic addition to the games and activities of the event.

STAR WARS PARTY GAMES - IDEA # 1:

The Pod Race is one of those fun Star Wars birthday party games your guests will absolutely love.

To play this game you need an item that has wheels like a wagon and two suit cases. All the players need to be split into two groups and further into pairs. As one person rides on the suitcase the other one has to guide the "pod racer".

Every twosome has to actually hurry to one end of the room after which they need to exchange places and then race back to wherever their team is. The first team to cross the finish line is declared the winner.

STAR WARS PARTY GAMES - IDEA # 2:

Another exciting Star Wars birthday party game is Pass The Death Star. You'll need confetti, small balls, balloons and Star Wars theme music.

Prior to inflation of the balloons, fill them with a fistful of balls and confetti, inflate them and tie with a cord. This represents the Death Star as the small balls in the balloon will make it bounce looking like an explosion.

Seat the party guests in a circle and give the Death Star balloon to the birthday boy or girl. The players pass the Death Star to each other around the circle.

Put on some Star Wars theme music and each time it stops the person caught with the Death Star balloon must "explode" out of the circle. This should be continued till only one player remains in the circle.

STAR WARS PARTY IDEAS - # 1:

If you're looking for other type of Star Wars-related activities or need an idea for some "down" time, try a classic Star Wars fun with the Episodes (IV, V and VI) showing one after the other at the party.

This is perfect for a sleepover or all-day sort of event as it will allow for some time off in between the showings, as well as plenty of time to incorporate some serious snack preparation or pizza ordering without interfering with the DVDs playing in the background.

If you are truly adventurous, you can do a non stop showing of all six films, although this makes for a very long, a "weekend" sort of event. It would be absolutely perfect if your party fell on a 3-day weekend like Labour Day or Memorial Day. Otherwise, you many choose to split it into two parts.

STAR WARS PARTY IDEAS - # 2:

If you're celebrating a child's birthday and the guests are a creative bunch with loads of imagination, you can incorporate a session where the guests imagine and create tall tales of what takes place between Episodes III and IV, as well as what happens to their favorite characters after Episode VI.

This is a lot of fun and create a type of a role-playing mood for the event that can be a huge amount of fun.

STAR WARS PARTY IDEAS - # 3:

For more fun Star Wars activities, try inviting your guests to a "Jedi Training Academy", of sorts.

Set up an obstacle course for each person to follow and a series of exercises resembling those Luke have gone through in The Empire Strikes Back. The winner can receive a Star Wars themed award for all the laughs and some added entertainment.

STAR WARS PARTY PLANNING - TAKE HOME GIFTS:

The gifts you're going to give your guests should, of course, revolve around the theme, making it a Star Wars birthday party to remember for the guests as well as the birthday boy or girl.
